What will be covered on the live webinar?

Christina will walk you through all the important steps to planning and executing a successful blog post. She will break the process down into three important phases: before you publish, and after you publish your blog post to go live.

First, develop an idea or choose an old blog post to revive. Write a rough draft and save it as a draft in WordPress. Sometimes, it’s helpful to compose your blog post in Google Docs before you create a post in WordPress. Once your draft is in WordPress, add it to an existing or new category. Do not leave it in Uncategorized.

Be sure to double-check your grammar and spelling in your blog post. Next, break up your text using H1 and H2 headings to make it more readable and improve SEO. Leave your reader with a call to action at the end of the post and link to other articles where appropriate. Add great images with alt-text to your blog post, and set the featured image.

After your blog post is published, view it while you’re logged out to ensure it looks good. Then, promote your blog post on your social media platforms.

QUESTION: I have the Spacious theme. I’m revamping my website according to SEO/GEO. My blogs are currently under 3 categories/tags. It was suggested that I add more based on the themes of my books. I do not have pictures with the articles. Should I put my book’s pictures with the articles or a neutral picture?

If we’re not yet in the Marketing Workshop, only WCW, will we have access to the recording?

I have an old Google Blogspot I did for many years. It’s very old. I need to load into my WCW website some of the evergreen articles. How would I do that? Load each one individually into WordPress? Then into Divi? Might be easier to start over.

If you’re using Substack or another service like that

Publish the full article on your website first. Then, put the first few paragraphs or a summary in Substack, then link to the full article on your website. Avoid: Publishing the exact same full article on both platforms.
